Chris' Intentions

Chris was friendly and happy when he was with people. He made friends and even stayed in touch with Wayne Westerberg after he left Carthage, South Dakota.  He hardly seemed depressed. On the other hand, he went into the wilds of Alaska very badly prepared for the adventure and seemed determined to hurt his family. Some have suggested that he was tired of life and intended to die. How can these two very different images exist in the same man?  RESPOND to the POST and the REPLY to two classmates.
