Michael certainly doesn't look like an angel. He is dirty, crude, and seems to have bad habits.How did you feel when you first saw him? Can you predict why he is so different from what we expect? RESPOND once to the post and REPLY to two classmates in detailed, careful answers..
I think he got used to living our world too much, and it’s so different for angels to live in this world. There might be no busy or frequent works for him.

DeleteMichael seems more tired and demanding than dirty or crude. I believe he has been through way too much. As I am catholic, I do understand more of the history of Michael, so I get to know he has fought in the behalf of God, to get rid of evil, and to protect us from it. Either way, when I first saw him, he did seem a little cruel, and harsh.

DeleteI think so too, and I wonder if the lady found him an angel only because he had winds, or not. Moreover, Has he been that dirty figure since he was born? If so, I would doubt God's aesthetic sense because angels are created by the god.
DeleteI am interested in the reason why the old lady believe that he is the angel too. Even though he is the angel, he is too strange to believe in. I think that as the lady has some difficulty with her thinking process, it makes easy for her to understand that the guy is the angel.

ReplyDeleteWhen I first saw Michael y was very surprised because he wasn't what I expected. I though he was as the stereotype of an angel; clean, nice, pure but when he appeared in the movie it was the opposite, it didn't meet my expectations. I think that he had a problem in heaven and he was expelled from there and he is sad and he decided to live a normal human live.

DeleteFirst of all, I doubt the idea that the man is the angel. It is different form our expectation. However, we saw that the bank fall down after the two get out of it. So this he has some special power even though he does not seem like someone holly. This is the strange point of this story.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, I would believe that it would amaze me, and I would not believe that it is an angel because of its appearance, since our stereotype of los angeles is totally different. I think it looks disposable, as it would go unnoticed and not very lusty at the time.

ReplyDeleteI agree with you that the one you saw is not an angel if he looks dirty and cruel. I believe that if he showed like that or seen like that may be just because of the dirtiness of Satan before being defeated. As a Muslim, I believe that the angels are not human since they don't eat , drink or marry. and they absolutely clean and powerful.
I surprised at Michael. He seems like rude and far from the image in my mind. The difference between Michael and normal person is only his dirty wings.
