I agree, with the use of social media in class, all Social media and social network has become an important part of life of a lot of people.
I think that the benefit for us as students of using social media is the way that this provides a real world experience and it is a lot of fun.
Also, the use of social media improves the discussion; create dialogue for exchanging ideas, and teachers could obtain a good interaction with students and with good monitoring, social media can be an effective form of communication in the classroom.
I agree with every part of your comment, but I remain skeptics. I´m not sure that in every cases the use of social media can be, as you said, an effective form of communication in the classroom. Read my second comment and you will understand.

I think it´s something that teachers can try to motivate some students that are often absent, to attend to class, and this could be the solution to this problem.
Using social media could be another dynamic way to learn and it could be easier for teachers to keep on track of the classroom advance, as well, so students and teachers can have great benefits from this idea.
On the other hand, I disagree about use social media in classrooms, because it could be a distraction to people that are not interested in class. In my experience when a person choose a elective class in the University (a class that is not part of the program needed to graduate) sometimes he chooses it because it´s easier and not because he likes it. In this specific cases I think it will not be helpful to use social media because the person will get distracted instantly.
Also, I think that it has to be used with students of certain age. Probably it will help if you use it in the University, but if you use it in a Middle or High School it will not be so helpful.
So, I think teachers have to be completely sure about bringing the possibility to use social media to students.

I think so far using social media is helpful for many things such as to follow the development and tecnology, therefore, using social media is more easier for students to do the homework and assignment. In the other hand some people think using social media in classroom is distracted, but i think that is not true if students use it with monitor and restrictive rules via teachers.

I agree with your comment, but only if teachers can keep an eye on every student in the classroom. There could be some detractors of the usage of social media, specially in classrooms of 70 students as happen in my country in some universities.
I believe that it is distracting to use social media in the classroom. The reason why is because students will always have the want to check emails, or go on facebook. It would be better to not have these distractions.

In my viewpoint,using social media in the classroom is essential for two reasons. First, I think this is the best way to learn how we use social media in our daily life including our class. Second, it is easy to contact each other and improve our skills in English .
I think that social media isn't good. The reason why is because I don't check the virtual space very often. I can't notice till I check the web page. Also it is ok only one web page, but we using a couple different web pages. Also, I found social media sites to distract especially when I'm learning something in a classroom. Sometime I have the desire to go on other websites. This isn't good for me or for my learning.
I think social media can't totally replace traditional teaching method. Because there is fundamental problem that it might distract student. Let's imagine. Teacher speak hardly. But student don't eye contact and just look at device though they are debating about class topic. It's not communicationa with teacher only class mate. Of couse, some of student question to teacher. But most of them might don't. Social media should using certain part of class that it has definite advantage.
