Learning another language

This quote appears at the beginning of our first unit.  Give some thought to what its meaning might be and post your response. After you have given your own answer, respond to two of your classmates.

  3. I think that we know a lot of things when we know a different language and also we are learning about a differente culture, so if you miss the opportunity to learn another language you are not giving the opportunity to know yourself better.

  4. If i can't say foreign lanuage, i can't express my knowledge to foreign people. In foreigner sight, i have nothing to teach.

    Maybe the quote is this meaning.

    1. We are having this experience right now and this is not only to learn English, it's about learn other cultures and learn about people. Doesn't matter how old are you, you can always learn something from everyone. Great comment.

Not necessarily, sometimes you could know about culture and life without dealing with the language, for example, my parents were from Lebanon and I never understood when they were speaking that language (arabic), but I can say to you that I know something about that culture and it is interesting.
