I like "Going to Norway" the best. "Going to Norway" is about the importance of taking action before it is too late. This theme is so helpful and necessary for me. I often postpone what I want to do, because I tend to think I can do it in the next time. This poem made me look back on my life, and I thought I wanted to try as many as possible in the days here.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you Wakako. The right decision has to be in the right time, otherwise the decision would be just a regret.
DeleteI like "Deferred". This poem is about a variety of dreams that people in each different generation have. The topic is that it is different that people in each different generation have their own values. I love this poem because in these days, I realize that life values is being changed every year.
ReplyDeleteI like "The Road Not Taken".I used to think about my way in the future and whenever I thought about my way, I scared of my choice as I thought didn't I choose wrong way.... but this poem let me think different. This poem said we can choose only one way and it will make different and recommend that we'd better choose the way that others not very choose. From now, I won't afraid of choosing the way.
ReplyDeleteI agree you, Shin Dong Min, that "The Road Not Taken" make us to think differently about choosing our way for future.
DeleteI like "Richard Cory" because it has changed my perspective about rich and attractive people. I used to think that how lucky rich people are. They wear good and enjoy every moment of their lives. After reading "Richard Cory" it reminded me that outer beauty or charm does not represent the real image of someone's life, feelings and emotions. As Richard Cory was a very rich and handsome guy and everyone thought that he would be very happy in his life, but one day he killed himself. In addition, the poem is written in a very sample language and I enjoy reading it again and again.
ReplyDeleteThe Road Not Taken is my favorite poem from the book. First of all, the title of this poem tells you everything. No matter how difficult the lines in the poem maybe, however, the author made it very easy for reader to understand what the poem is all about. Secondly, it is very meaningful. Everyone in his/her life has to make decisions and sometimes we struggle to choose among the options we have in our life. In this poem, the poet lets us know that Life is a challenging journey, and those who make good and smart decision will surely end up being happy.
ReplyDeleteI do agree with Sarfaraz, Richard Cory is a good poem and can easily be understood!
ReplyDeleteI like the poem “The Rod Not Taken” of Robert Frost. It is all about the courses of life everyone has to choose walk the way. The language of the poem has a meaningful description in few words. The poet, Robert Frost, describes the life’s decisions and turns as a road that is diverged continuously along the way. When I read this poem, I remember many decisions I have taken in my life and see its effect on following choices and options. This poem has a wisdom states that life has infinite fields and we need to consider that because life is a long non-stop journey we have to go.
