Though some poor people might be worn out with their severe situation, others should know enough the pain of poverty, such as a lack of clothes, food and housing, and also know if they share, it can be left some extras.
ReplyDeleteThat's why they are so generous to the degree that I reflect on myself.
I agree with you. I think most of people who live in developed countries use too much food and natural resources. ( It may be a stereotype of me.) On the other hand, people in developing countries don't have much thing, so they think a great deal of these things.
DeleteI like the idea that the poor knows the pain of poverty and the importance of sharing with people and being generous. Even if the poor is a lack of food or materials, it does not always mean that they are a lack of tactfulness.
DeleteThey read the Zlata’s Diary and found many things in common with her life. I think that was the reason why they could be more empathetic than other richer people and work hard for those who were in the same situation. Before they started reading those books that had something related to their lives, they did not have any hope of their future. However, they changed in mind after they read the Zlata’s Diary and knew about her survival in the war. They were also really impressed with her word given to them, “You’re the real heroes.” It seems that this experience enabled them to have hope and think that they can change the world. I think another reason is that they wanted to try and make sure that they can do that.
ReplyDeleteI see your point, but I think that is not exactly right in the answer of this question. In the question, it said, "the poor," so we have to think about whoever is poor, not only people who read the Zlata's Dialy.
DeleteSo if you explain the reason, you can say that the poor can imagine other difficulties, and also they feel empathy to the others.
I agree with Mizuki and Yuki's opinion. I also think that the poor can know the most worst situation of others. That's why, they feel empathy for others. We should think about those people more deeply, and do whatever we can do for those people.
DeleteI think that the main reason why the poorest sometimes help each other is that they understand how hard is to live in poorness. And when they have a little "extra" they use it to help the other who are in a worse position.
