If empathy is the result of mirror neurons, does this suggest that perhaps all emotion is the result of chemical or neurological activity? I think the empathy is something that controls our behaviour to deal and feel other people especially between family and friends. In my view, it is a combination between chemical and neurological activity.

DeleteMirror neurons are a physic result when people perceive the feeling of other person. Scientist think that mirror neurons create empathy between people because friend can feel and comprehend other partner. In my opinion, empathy is generated in two ways: first, I have the same believing and moral principles than other person; and second, I feel good for sharing experiences with a person. It is not only a chemical process that mirror neurons create as respond.

ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, emitoin such as fear, happy, sad,easy, is genetically transmitted to the next generations. I don't even have to distinguish these emotion from a soul.
Yuki, I completely agree with you that chemical and neurological have delved deep into our brain, and discovered many of the specific parts of the brain that generate our emotions and drives. we do not have to rethink about it.
DeleteI agree with you, the process of emotions are generated in the brain for creating empathy. One other hand, I disagree that emotions are transmitted generation by generation. I think so that emotions are created in the moment.
DeleteI have no clear answer to this question, but I believe that neurological activity has a huge influence in our emotion. For example, if someone treats people graciously, they will treat him as the same way back and so on. I have seen a small clip which talks about a man who I think owned a giant Lion. There was a Cameraman, who depicts the event and guess what? The man goes to the door and the Lion starts getting close to him, and hits the door with roaring, yes long time I know, the man said. The man unlocked the door and the lion has jumped on him like a baby, and they cuddled. that was so cute, and what I'm trying to say is that I think we all know that lions can't be friendly with people naturally; however, if they grow up to be friendly, loving, and caring for human they will and so people do with each others.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, I think the experience or share another person's pain and other emotion is really hard to explain, but I believe the neurone is the big influence and emotion. Empathy is made so many possible things by a special group of cell call mirror neurone, it's also stay or be a part of brain.
ReplyDeleteI think our soul is the real master of our body, so all the chemical and neurological activity we seen are the chain reaction of our soul, other wise human will just like a chemical machine, we will be doing without thinking, but the truth is we are not that kind of animal.
